Hi, I’m Rachael, I founded Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support over 6 years ago, so I guess you could say I’m part of the furniture now. Cancer has been part of my life for many years, I’ve had breast cancer, my brother’s had cancer and my wonderful Dad died of cancer, which is why I am passionate about helping people to live the best life possible when given a cancer diagnosis.
I am also a qualified counsellor, with 12 years experience, I am committed to offering you a confidential, therapeutic space where you can examine and explore your issues.
My belief is that whatever your problems/difficulties are, you hold the solutions. I offer a caring, confidential and non-judgmental space for you to work through your issues at your own pace.
I am a registered Member of BACP you can find me of the BACP’s Accredited Voluntary Register.
I receive regular clinical supervision for my work, where I discuss my work; however, I keep anonymity here too. I am wholly committed to confidentiality. As a member of the BACP I work within their code of ethics, including a conduct and complaints procedure, which is available for all clients to see should they wish to do so.
All BACP members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure
Hi, my name is Karen. I am a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and I have been with Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support since 2016. I am lucky enough not to have had cancer myself. However, I have lost several family members to this disease, including my sister at the tender age of 25. It’s important to me to offer support to those who need it. Not everyone is lucky enough to have their own support network and, often, people don’t want to burden their nearest and dearest.

Hello, my name is Carol. I have been involved with Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support for nearly 5 years now, offering complementary therapies to group members and their families. The complementary services I offer are traditional reflexology, Chi reflexology, Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD), Foot Tapping Reflexology (FTR), Reiki and Indian Head Massage. Some of the benefits from the therapies can include reduction in swelling caused by lymph following surgery, help with sleeping problems, relaxation and a general feeling of wellbeing plus many other positive effects on the body.
I am a fully qualified and insured reflexologist and full member of the AOR (Association of Reflexologists).
