Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support has been offering holistic therapies, Counselling and emotional support to everyone affected by a cancer diagnosis since 2012.
We are based in Keighley town centre and run a relaxed and informal drop-in group every Thursday between 10am and 2pm. Therapies and counselling are by pre-booked appointments at mutually convenient times.
Our aim is to provide up to 10 hours of therapy, free at the point of service, to anyone affected by cancer, at any stage of their journey. Our experienced therapists will take the time to listen to you and help you to decide on the best therapy, or combination of therapies, will be of most use to you.

Due to the current situation with Covid 19, we can only see you for online therapy sessions. We are currently offering counselling, hypnotherapy and group meditation. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we are still here to support you.
We are keeping a constant eye on the government regulations as well as our regulating bodies advice. Hopefully we will be able to see you face-to-face again later this year.
Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support is a small, local charity which began life as a support group in 2012.
Rachael and Adele met at Airedale Hospital, whilst they were both receiving treatment for breast cancer. They had a lot in common: both had young families and they had both been diagnosed in 2011. They were able to comfort and support each other through the difficult journey of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
They realised that others were facing this difficult time alone and decided to do something about it. They formed the Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support Group for all those suffering from cancer, patients and their families and carers, in the local area.
In 2014, Adele returned to work leaving the support group in Rachael’s capable hands. In 2016, the group became a registered charity. It now has a dedicated team of volunteers and therapists offering a range of services to the local cancer community.
At Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support, we have a very person-centred approach: we focus on you, not cancer.
As a group we have all been touched by cancer in some way and understand how important it is to tackle the anxieties and concerns that come with a cancer diagnosis, for you and for your family and friends.
We also understand the need for you to still be treated as YOU, not a disease. This is why we put YOU at the centre of any decisions regarding what may help you and what we can do to help you through this difficult time.
